Hydroponics

As we moved forward and grew every year, we realised that no matter how much we tried, traditional farming methods still required a lot of water.

In 2021, we setup a hydroponic fodder production unit.

In order to utilise our space effectively and help recycling of water using gravity filter, this was setup on the terrace .

We now produce approximately 500kg of hydroponic fodder per day , exclusively to feed our young cows.

This sprouted maize is grown in a controlled environment with only recycled water and no soil whatsoever. It is extremely easy to digest and absorb for the young stomachs of our calves.
